| Official CS Productions Press Release May 28, 2000 - CS Productions has officially announced the next installment in the Life is a Bowl of Cherries series. Filming will begin early sumer 2000, as soon as script development has completed. |
In late 1980, CS Productions emerged from the innovative minds of Scott Hintze and Chris Canter. Since that time, CS Productions has created exciting short movies and features, some of which have been awarded internationally. Ranging from side-splitting humor to action-filled adventures, the films of CS Productions have amused and entertained many. All of the projects were filmed entirely within the state of Maryland, except for the Awards shows in Colorado. Each film offers an original view of the world of Chris and Scott. CS Productions longest living series is "Life is a Bowl of Cherries". Though it came within a chance of being titled "Homemade Cornmeal", "Life is a Bowl of Cherries" was created with little regard for the norm. Featuring an off-colored collage of humorous skits, defying the accepted style of comedy. Other CS Productions projects include several more-serious scripts. Two of these films were awarded national film festival recognition, with one placing in international competition, third only to Californian and Japanese entries. The style and production of CS Productions films make every one a worthy event. | The History of CS Productions |

Rumors on Life is a Bowl of Cherries- Extra-Special: Custom-Deluxe
October 10, 1997 - Rumor has it that CS Productions is bringing back the
long-awaited continuation of the Life is a Bowl series. Apparently, original creators
Scott Hintze and Chris Canter have agreed to revive the series, after a long hiatus.
Production is said to be slated for November 1997. November 15, 1997 - Production for the Life is a Bowl Part 12 has apparently been delayed from it's original filming schedule of late November 1997. Some reports have filming slated for the spring of 1998. We can't wait. December 3, 1997 - Sources indicate that the long lost actor from the original series has been spotted.....Chris Johnson. Though he is not saying, sources say Johnson has agreed to at least a cameo appearance in the future Life is a Bowl Part 12. If this rumor is true, that would complete the original four cast members. This is getting good. Filming still slated for the spring of 1998. December 31, 1997- An unidentified Arts Alliance member said that the newest installment will be titled Life is a Bowl of Cherries: Extra-Special, Custom-Deluxe. Rather than sequeling a Part 12, the title will be reflecting the revival and reunion of CS Productions' founders, leaving room for naming the next film Part 13....a rumored horror-thriller for mature audiences. January 3, 1998- Word has it that the script contains a boating stunt, filmed on location at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. Also, apparently penciled in as a possible plot twist, the Biz woman will make a cameo appearance...Holy Crap! January 5, 1998- A close source confirms the new movie title as Life is a Bowl of Cherries- Extra-special, Custom-Deluxe. Also, the scoop suggested that the Biz woman's role is being written as a feature, rather than a cameo. January 14, 1998- Filming has begun. A close and reliable source indicated that Extra-Special, Custom-Deluxe is turning out to be the best movie to come from CS Productions since Limerick's Bizlim. Incredibly believeable acting, breathtaking stunts, superb special effects, and cagey cinematography are cited as contributing aspects to this Bowl's superiority. Also, Chris Dent, veteran actor and longtime CS Productions member, has rewritten Bowl history with an absolutely outstanding performance. January 17, 1998- Witnesses to the latest filming on location say that CS Productions Director Scott Hintze was seen trespassing with actor Chris Dent at an inlet on the Patuxent River. Although a hazy fog prevented further eyewitness account, our source said that about ten minutes elapsed and then the film crew was spotted speeding away though a residential neighborhood. January 21, 1998.- An anonymous editor for CS Productions footage sent this rumor. "I was editing raw fottage on the 1/2" drive and color effects generator when I saw a special effects/stunt that makes Predator, Star Wars, and Jackie Chan all look like amatuers. I rewound the tape, set it to music, copied it to slow stock 36mm, and submitted it for approval to the Board. I heard they liked it and will keep it somehow for the final cut." February 12, 1998.- Sources indicate that recent filming of Extra-Special: Custom-Deluxe has been hugely successful and the film should be completed by summer. An insider stated, "Apparently, the CS Productions crew has gone on a temporary creative haitus. The newest plot twist, Mr. Jones, has evolved into a series on its own, and until further scripting developments are completed, the film is on hold." Meanwhile, CS Fan-actics are holding their breath... February 25, 1998.- Sources have indicated that CS Productions Producer Chris Canter has had to reschedule his east coast trip to handle additional filming obligations on location in Colorado Springs, Colorado. When the news broke, CS Productions Director Scott Hintze threw the new CS Productions corpse through a glass window at their headquarters in the Washington DC metro area. Mr. Hintze was quoted as saying, "Although the support of Chris Dent and the new addition of Susan Hilaski has strengthened the films, I have no idea where to turn without the inclusion of CS Productions pioneering co-founder Mr. Canter." March 27, 1998.- CS Productions co-founder Chris Canter has confirmed that his Colorado filming commitments are near completion. His flight to the east coast has been slated from May 31 to June 8, 1998. Chris quotes: "I can't begin to tell you how glad I am to be heading back to Maryland to continue Extra-Special, Custom-Deluxe. It's a labor of love." June 7, 1998.- CS Productions has completed filming of the long-awaited "Life is a Bowl: Extra-Special, Custom-Deluxe" movie. In fact, the final editing was completed shortly thereafter, and special screenings were given to close family and friends of the producer and director. It was a huge hit! June 30, 1998.-With their latest installment of the "Life is a Bowl" series completed, the copying and distribution process is underway. This far late into the game, it's amazing that trailers or previews have not yet been released to the public. I believe Director Scott Hintze, and Producer Chris Canter, are holding back to preview the new film on the web. We can't wait for that web site. | Gossip Line Rumors of future CS Productions projects |
